Mike quinsey biography

Mike Quinsey began wrestling at high school in the City of Mississauga in the 1970’s. Only a few coaches back then had a background in wrestling which forced Mike to have an open mind to carefully analyse and define what worked and what didn’t.

His efforts to physicalize what he discovered afforded him some success as he went on to win the
Ontario High School Championships, (OFSAA) and was the first athlete ever to do so at any weight from Mississauga.

Matthew channelings

He went on to a top-10 finish in the World Junior (under-21) championships. In the 1980 Canadian Olympic trials he was 1 st Alternate to 2-time world silver medallist Clark Davis. He enjoyed an outstanding competitive university career, twice winning the Simon Fraser University Scholar-Athlete Award before injuries ended his ability to compete at the highest levels.

In 1992, he turned to coaching the sport he loved so well.
